VetDERM Clinic treats allergy, skin, and ear problems in cats and dogs. A veterinary dermatologist is a veterinarian with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of animal skin, ear, hair, and nail disorders — they are the ear specialists and the allergy specialists.
Getting to the bottom of the problem — then treating it.
We offer comprehensive dermatology exams and consultations, and provide skin infection resolution, allergy testing, diagnosis and treatment for ear problems, and allergy management.
We also treat skin disorders caused by hormones, and care for hair loss and autoimmune disease. With a combination of knowledge, experience, technology and science, we have the ability to find the cause and treat it.
To provide dermatology care for cats and dogs with allergy, skin and ear problems — and ultimately improve their quality of life.
Why we do it
Comfort is the whole point.
It is vital to get to the bottom of the problem and offer a customized treatment, because that is what resolves infection, prevents it progressing, and avoids secondary complications.
It can also be extremely challenging to treat someone — your pet — who cannot talk and explain how they feel. The main goal of our work is to keep our patients as comfortable as possible and improve their quality of life.

Dr. Jangi Bajwa is a board certified veterinary dermatologist and has been working in the Vancouver area since 2005. After working as a family veterinarian for a number of years, he pursued his special interests in treating allergies and skin issues in dogs and cats, obtaining his Veterinary Dermatology diploma with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2014.
He has a particular interest in treating, resolving and preventing ear infections, as these can quietly affect a pet’s quality of life and become a chronic problem if not resolved adequately.
