Our philosophy

Every animal cared for like family.

We treat shelter and rescue patients the same way as family-owned pets. It is our practice philosophy to build and maintain positive relationships with animal organizations, their fosters and volunteers, and family veterinarians, so rescue and shelter animals with skin and ear problems are well cared for, both short and long term.

We aim for clear, thorough communication about each animal’s health and wellbeing, and we provide education on the dermatological conditions affecting the animals in your care. Our goal is a better quality of life for every patient, through early diagnosis, individualized treatment plans and careful long-term management.

Fear Free love

Calmer visits for animals with a past.

Vet visits are frightening for many patients, and rescue and shelter animals often have complicated back stories that can make them even less trusting of people — especially when they are itchy, sore or in pain.

Our Fear Free certified team members work together to keep each visit low-stress, which makes the whole dermatology experience easier for you as their caretakers.

  • Fear Free certified team members
  • Low-stress handling at every visit
  • Clear updates for staff, fosters and volunteers
  • Education on each animal’s condition
How we can help

A discount that follows the animal home.

We offer a significant Rescue & Shelter Animal Discount on all of our services for pets from rescue and shelter organizations.

For your organization

The costs of running an animal support organization add up quickly, and veterinary care is often a significant part of the budget. Your animals receive the same specialized dermatology services we offer client-owned pets, and we hope the discount helps make skin and ear care more affordable.

For one year after adoption

Many skin and ear conditions take time to resolve, and some are lifelong but manageable with the right care. That is why we extend the discount to the adopter for one full year after adoption — so care continues while the new family learns their pet’s needs.
